Chisa Foka Trail

Length: 10 miles
Surface: Paved

The Chisa Foka Multi-use Trail is a paved rail-trail running 10 miles alongside the Natchez Trace through Ridgeland and the northern part of Ridgeland.

Note that the southern/western end of the trail does not end at the Natchez Trace, but within sight of the Trace. Technically there is no access to the Natchez Trace at that end. The western-most "official" access between the Natchez Trace and Chisa Foka is at the Chocktaw Agency exit, just west of I-55. But you can see the western end of the Chisa Foka Trail from the Natchez Trace Parkway (source: Google Street View - geolocation 32.408700922, -90.226862249):

Just east of the Old Canton Road crossing, there is a one-mile extension that heads south to Rice Road, or one mile south to Lake Harbour Drive.

To avoid traffic and for easier access to local businesses, we highly recommend using this trail as an alternative to the Natchez Trace while passing through Jackson/Ridgeland.
